For Employers

Hire. Train. Retain.

The Mas Experience is an innovative service for employers and provides a new generation of support to hire, train and retain employees.

Hire

There’s plenty to gain from employing an apprentice in your business. You get access to individuals who are eager to learn, trained to your specific business requirements, and who are working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

We provide tailored support to assist businesses in finding employees (apprentices) who possess the personal attributes and skills necessary to succeed in your business.  Our team support you and your business through streamlined completion of compliance requirements to help you register your apprentice and apply for any incentives you may be eligible for.

We have been a continuous apprenticeship provider for more than 25 years, so you’re in great hands with Mas Experience.

Employee loyalty begins with employer loyalty. Your employees should know that if they do the job they were hired to do with a reasonable amount of competence and efficiency, you will support them.

Train

Apprenticeships are not just for new employees – they are also an excellent option if you’re looking to upskill your existing employees. Maintaining a highly skilled workforce provides your business a range of benefits including achieving administrative and operational efficiencies, innovation and greater relevancy, all of which will five your business an edge over competitors.

Retain

Access to professional development opportunities are an integral part of staff retention and nationally-recognised qualifications are highly desirable.  Providing access to apprenticeships for your staff demonstrates your commitment to their career growth which in turn engenders staff loyalty.  Not only will your business realise the benefits but your staff will too.

Apprentice wages and incentives

Employing an apprentice is a cost-effective way to expand your team with pay that reflects their level of knowledge and experience. As apprentices will be working as employees in your business, you will need to ensure they are being fairly compensated for their work.

Apprentices wages must meet the National Employment Standards (NES) set by the Australian Fair Work Ombudsman. These standards include minimum pay rates, conditions and leave entitlements.

At Mas, we’ll help manage administrative tasks and any applications for incentive programs available to you.

Support every step of the way

Take your business to the next level with capable and eager apprentice candidates — sourced and recruited with Mas.

If you already have an existing candidate, we can help streamline the administrative side of things to ensure everything is done by the books. We will also connect you with the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that will deliver your apprentice’s training, assessments and certifications.
